Well, we all knew it was going to happen, but it feels good to finally have confirmation that Spider-Man will appear in next year’s Marvel Studios’ ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ But after Marvel Studios obtained joint rights to Spider-Man with Sony, it was obvious he would appear ‘Civil War.’

While being interviewed for their new movie, ‘Vacation’ Vulture asked the future Spider-Man writers, John Francis and Jonathan Goldstein about Spider-Man’s involvement in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’

Along with confirming that Tom Holland finished filming his scenes for ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and said the following.

“We hear good things,” Jonathan Goldstein told Vulture. “We might even get to look at the Spidey suit, which is exciting.”

The writing duo was also asked about the future villains we will see in the Spider-Man standalone.

“We’ve discussed certain characters, but nothing is certain yet, for sure.”

‘Captain America: Civil War’ is set to hit theaters on May 6th, 2016 and the ‘Spider-Man’ solo film will be released on July 28th, 2017.
