Masashi Kishimoto’s bestselling ninja manga Naruto, is finally coming to an end next month. After 15 years the number one hyperactive knucklehead ninja will appear in his final chapter on November 10th in Weekly Shonen Jump.
Kishimoto announced back in 2012 that the “series is rising towards its climax,” which of course meant that the final arc “The Fourth Ninja War” would take about 2 years to tells. Naruto debuted in September of 1999 in Weekly Shonen Jump, Naruto has been published into 70 collected volumes ending with the 71st that will be released in November. In North America Viz Media will publish the 57th volume next month. More than 200 million copies have been published worldwide. Naruto grew past the manga medium inspiring a hit anime series, several video games, five OVAs, and 10 feature length films. The 10 Naruto movie is titled “The Last: Naruto the Movie” which opens December 6th in Japan it will take place after the end of the manga series. This is definitely the end of an era, which allowed readers to journey with Naruto who was a young isolated boy hated by those around him as he grew up into a respected valued hero of the ninja world!
